Yes, the world is in a chaotic mess. “Why doesn’t God come down and do something about it?” you ask. “If God is love, how come there’s such cruelty in the world?”
I’m weary of hearing that God can’t be real because of all these serious problems in our world. Like we didn’t do anything at all to cause these problems? Like war, racial hatred, violence, crime, poverty just happen while we’re innocently living our lives. Even if God waved a magic wand and fixed everything perfectly, we’d be sure to take it and mess it up again.

It’s almost like there’s an intense greediness that’s infiltrating the very structure of our society. Like tuning into the one radio signal with a hedonistic focus on instant gratification. “Rip off who you can, just don’t get caught.” Why does being an arrogant bad-ass appeal to anybody? What is behind all that?

Light:DarkPerhaps there is something pulling our strings. Maybe there’s an invisible/off-earth Illuminati out to get us, trying to destroy us, trying to take over our planet? OK, OK, you say. Don’t get wound up on crazy stuff.

Yet, there are always opposites that we have to choose between. There’s light, there’s dark. There’s pain there’s sorrow. Good/bad, up/down, black/white, love/hate, give/take, right/wrong. What would be the opposite of God?  Maybe God’s not the only superpower behind the scenes!

Ifchoose-your-own-path we can personify the presence of love then it is God. If we can personify an invisible destructive force of darkness, then it would be called Satan. Our unwillingness to acknowledge the existence of an evil force gives that entity an insidious, powerful advantage over us.

Actually, to believe in a devil who’s against our spiritual growth would make a lot of sense for five reasons!

  1. We’d have someone to blame besides God for the problems in the world.

  2. God wouldn’t be responsible for any of the bad things that happen and could be only a God of love.

  3. We wouldn’t have to entirely blame ourselves.

  4. Verses in the Bible that talk about fallen angels from heaven (outer space) could be taken literally.

  5. But best of all: All of humanity would have a common enemy to fight against!

"Do you ever wonder what makes horror movies and dark fiction so appealing to some people? We have been manipulated to create the scariest, most terrifying horror scripts because demons want us to agree with them that we are puny and powerless and things are horrible. They want us to exalt and fear them in our minds...And when we buy into their lies and negative perceptions, we honour them by becoming fearful. Fear, in fact, is their best weapon against us. Fear is actually giving allegiance to Satan."

“The bible has many references to or descriptions of non-human intelligent beings, after all, that’s what angels are.”

Jesuit Brother Guy Consolmagno, an astronomer at the Vatican Observatory wrote this in March 2009. So today we have the Vatican describing angels as non-human intelligent beings making them sound like real life characters out of a Sci-fi movie!

How can we blend space age terminology into our Christian beliefs? Simple common sense definitions still seem to fit well:

  • Heavens = outer space, universes, galaxies
  • Terrestrial = earthly
  • Extraterrestrial =off earth, otherworldly, celestial
  • Alien = sentient being not from our country/or planet
  • God = a supernatural immortal being, a deity

So now, how would you describe Jesus Christ? He’s not from earth! How would YOU tell the story of salvation to the unchurched person in our 21st Century chaotic world? Would it sound like this?

“The invisible Great Ones (God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, angels) recently came again to earth, but not with huge menacing interstellar warships. They sent one of their own kind as an ambassador from their world to ours. One of them dares to put on mortal human flesh through artificial insemination of their seed planted within a young human woman. Sent as a diplomat to us from another dimension he proclaims,

“I am from above. You are of this world.” John 8:23 NIV

"The one who sent me is with me; he has not left me alone, for I always do what pleases him." John 8:29 NIV

Let’s consider that Jesus Christ may be exactly who he said he was: half human and half-celestial spirit, an evolutionary enigma. Click To Tweet

Then as all heaven holds its breath, this celestial/human being willingly goes to a physical death to ransom us from the dark power entities oppressing our planet.

This cosmic event opens the portal to the realm of immortality. He returns to the heavens and sends the next emissary in true form, back into our world. Spirit now wants to symbiotically fuse with those who have opened their minds to receive!”

“Humanity is still searching for contact with intelligent beings from outer space. In startling clarity the scriptures I read in the Bible state they have actually already arrived!

Think of it! In recent history, they have come as non-aggressively as we can possibly imagine–through the birth of a baby born to a human mother.”¹

Did the birth of Jesus Christ introduce us to the Son of God?

Jesus said his father was a supernatural omnipotent God from the heavens, or in current lingo – from outer space. Actually, the immaculate conception sounds like our current medical procedure of artificial insemination! After all,  how else can a virgin become pregnant? Virgin women can today, and Mary somehow did when an angel visited her.

“How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?”
The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God...
“I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.” Then the angel left her. Luke 1:34-38 NIV Bible

Angels visiting from heaven? What if we said energy beings from outer space? Some people will find that easier to believe. Younger generations now view the cosmos on a grand scale and see the vast possibilities of an Infinite Intelligence in the very design of our galaxy. They believe in some sort of Higher Power and they want the ability to tap into an inner power.

God in 21stChristianity doesn’t seem relevant to a lot of people, because really, telling them to “give your heart to Jesus and he will save you,” just doesn’t work anymore in our culture. Anyone under 30 will probably ask, “Who is this Jesus you’re talking about? And what’s he going to save me from?”

Demons, angels, sin, kingdom, saviour, crucifixion – are old religious terms. That jargon turns people off because they don’t understand what you mean.

Maybe it’s time to upgrade our operating system with new terms for a  21st Century Christianity. Download the 2.1 version today to update the doctrinal foundations of your corporate and personal faith!

I’m being a little facetious and of course, we have to take care not to distort the truths given to us in scripture. I want to give you some revamped terms to consider because you can spread the good news/the gospel to those outside the church a little easier by using modern language. People are dropping out of churches at an alarming rate BUT they are still hungry for truth, for Christian-style spiritual enlightenment!

Heaven =Outer Space, the Cosmos

Angels =Energy Beings aligned with God

God = the Source, the Higher Power, Universal Love

God the Father = The Creator

Spirituality = Alignment with Holy Spirit

Faith = Powerful confidence in your belief system

Demons = Dark forces

Evil = Immoral actions

Sin = Unloving actions

I hope you base your faith on a strong belief system in the Creator, the Source of Infinite Intelligence, the source of all LOVE. I hope you interface with the Ambassador, God in the flesh sent down to earth from the cosmos, who proposes an alliance between humanity and the Celestial government of Higher Beings.

(Translation: Believe in God, the God of love, and accept Jesus Christ as your Saviour so you can be saved and inherit the kingdom!)

Hugs to all of you!

LOVE NEVER FAILS? BAH!

Love never fails? Bah! Sometimes it fails miserably. It’s not because the nature of love isn’t powerful enough – because love can cut a swath like a laser beam through the darkest of hearts.

The word itself is just so overused we don’t recognize the real thing.

It’s been a long, lonely journey for me. I started the book decades ago in our wilderness log cabin on the ranch, and the manuscript has survived a great many crises in my own life. Now after countless author editing and three professional editors scrutinizing every sentence, the manuscript has finally morphed into its final form and is listed on Amazon.com. I was so encouraged to have it chosen as one of the select few to be reviewed in ForeWord Reviews for their Dec. 1st edition. Over 80,000 libraries and book marketers subscribe to this quarterly catalogue. I think the book is ready to come out of its closet! I hope The Celestial Proposal will inspire you to “think outside the box” and map out your own spiritual journey for living life on planet earth.

(Open letter to a friend) Hi dear,

»Question #101

It sounds like you’re asking me what I think, so here goes: Your reasoning and the questions you asked were exactly why I wrote the book! The mechanics of utilizing power from believing in God/Jesus Christ was beyond me too. “Yah, OK, he died for me. He’s supposed to save me but what is he saving me from? Maybe he lives in me, whatever that means, but how does that change anything?”

When we translate one key word in “Christianese” into plain old English it clarifies things! We talk about Jesus Christ, but we have to realize that the word Christ is NOT his last name. It’s more like his nickname! According to any bible concordance and dictionary, Christ means “the anointed or the anointing”. The word, anoint means to daub with oil or smear on a powerful substance. Jesus is called The Christ because he was anointed with power from a celestial realm. All his friends saw that he had something different about him. So much so, that they also called him the Son of God.

The word christen is used today when we christen a person with a new name of notable character, or when we break a bottle of champagne over the bow of a ship to christen its maiden voyage.

So, when you start to read the timeless verses in the New Testament, try substituting the word Christ with the one anointed with power or the powerful anointing when you come across the word Christ. It’s pretty neat. IF CHRIST IS IN YOU then an anointing from a celestial realm is in you. If Christ lives in us, we are sent out with metaphysical power! Whew!

Hey, that came out good. If you don’t mind, I think I’ll put it on my blog! I’ll try to answer your other questions soon.

Love you dear.

PS. Here’s a fascinating passage!  Colossians 1:26-28

…the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the Lord’s people. To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ.
